What’s an old-growth forest? This is my second video from Big Reed, the largest old growth forest in New England. There are a lot of different definitions for “old growth” but most fall into one or more of these three buckets — forests that are “primary” or “virgin”; forests that are “old”; or forests that are “late-successional” I.e. that have an array of attributes that functionally describe how forests have existed on this landscape for millennia. Also note that my description of late-success
