Meet our new cosmic mapmaker! A new space telescope called the Spectro-Photometer for the History of the Universe, Epoch of Reionization and Ices Explorer, or SPHEREx, will scan the entire sky in infrared light every six months. This data will be used to create an enormous database of stars, galaxies, nebulae, and other objects.
